About John

John Samuel Anderson lives in Florida, one nautical mile from the Gulf of Mexico. (Which, during years with Red Tide, isn't always nice for allergies. Yikes!)

He and his wife, Andrea, homeschool their seven children and started a homeschool co-op (in the middle of 2020!) because homeschooling is more fun with other families. They love the Apologia curriculum, because it blends faith and science instruction for our children.

A Computer Engineer by education, John could theoretically build a computer from the atomic level up, with a few million dollars worth of machinery. In his day job, he builds software that runs in the cloud and writes documentation that even non-engineers find helpful.

His interest in Science Fiction began as a child with Isaac Asimov's robots and Foundation series. C. S. Lewis's Space Trilogy showed him how science fiction can ask questions (about the Universe, God, and man's place in it) that only a Biblical worldview can adequately answer.

John's prose style has been compared to Robert Heinlein's, though he aspires to be a bit more like C. S. Lewis in approachability and J. R. R. Tolkien in depth.
